Come join us at the Ailey Studio 5 (405 West 55^th St. New York, NY) on January 10^th at 7:45pm to see an excerpt from our new work, “Cosas de Mujeres (women’s things)” which will premiere in Philadelphia at the Leonard Pearlstein Gallery at Drexel University, April 10-12^th.

Class Description:

 

NEW Bata de Cola Class:

The bata de cola is a flamenco dress with a long train that requires a very specific technique. Artistic Director and founder of PyA, Elba Hevia y Vaca has studied bata de cola in Sevilla, Spain under world famous flamenco artists such as Belen Maya, Alicia Marquez and Yoland Heredia. The class will involve learning the specific technique and body posture essential for dancing properly with the bata de cola that will evolve into phrase work and choreography.

Winter Children’s Flamenco Classes and Alternative Dance Style Class

January 3^rd-May 30^th ($12 per class or you can purchase a 6 class card for $60)

 

Saturdays:

1:30pm-2:30pm – Children’s Flamenco I (Ages 4-7)

3:00-4:30pm –Brazilian Samba

 

Mondays:

4:30-5:30pm – Children’s Flamenco II (Ages 8-11)
