In this “seminar” style workshop, the structure of Alegrias as a dance will be presented from the point of view of the musicians. Alegrias is comprised of several components that involve a common (yet sometimes hazy) understanding of the structure and the palmas. With so many deviations, Behzad Habibzai will draw upon his 16 years of experience as guitarist and percussionist working with great artists from Spain and the US to provide a decision tree that will clarify the structure once and for all.
