Anne Margaret O’Malley Castellanos, Founder and Artistic Director of Pas De Flamenco earned her BFA in Dance at the University of the Arts, Philadelphia. She studied Flamenco and Spanish Dance with Julia Lopez and was an original Company member of Flamenco Ole.
She toured Spain with the Ballet des Jeunes under the Direction of Ursula Melita and over the past 15 years has performed with Philadelphia Civic Ballet Company, Camerata Opera Theatre, Latin Fiesta, Center in the Park Tappers and The Philadelphia Orchestra.
She founded Flamenco Y Mas Company and School of Dance in Dublin, Ireland in 1999 and has since been featured on Irish National television, Many International Arts Festivals based in Ireland and had the honor of performing for Former President Mary Robinson as well as choreographing works for their Annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival and Parade. Now back in the States Ana is running her company and performing a one woman show: Flamenco for the young at Heart. Anne O’Malley Castellanos is currently an adjunct Professor of Global Dance Studies at Eastern University.
